The Foresight Pre-Optometry Club at UC Davis aims to educate and support students who are interested in the profession of optometry. While many events equip students to be competitive applicants, the club also strives to connect with other health professions and develop a general awareness of the profession. Members participate in events that allow them to explore all areas of optometry that cover clinical, optical/tech, and legislative aspects of the field. Some of these educational events include vision screenings, volunteering in the local community, visiting optometry schools, and meeting recruiters as well as practicing optometrists. Ultimately, the club hopes to inspire students to bring their strengths and passions to the field of optometry.
